This Smoothie is truly reminiscent of apple pie and comes just in time to enjoy it using fresh, local apples! Try it out with your favourite apple varieties!
- 1 small apple cut into small pieces
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg and salt
- 1 scoop of protein powder
Blend to desired consistency, add ice if desired.
*swap the maple syrup for your sweetener of choice (honey, stevia, etc)
**to improve digestibility of chia seeds, soak them in the almond milk for 30 minutes or overnight!
